From early 2026 you’ll be able to build a single, self-contained granny flat or minor dwelling of up to 70m² without requiring a full building consent, provided it meets strict conditions and is carried out or supervised by licensed professionals. Our granny flats comply with the NZ Building Code.
Every granny flat we build is supervised by licensed builders, plumbers and electricians, with full compliance documentation provided. This includes Records of Work and Project Information Memoranda (PIMs) which simplifies the paperwork you need to notify your local council.
