Timber floors are more sustainable than concrete due to their renewable characteristic and lower carbon footprint. This contrasts with the intensive energy needed and the resulting greenhouse gases that are emitted during concrete production.
The installation of the Rigid Air Barrier board, combined with a timber-to-insulation ratio of less than 16%, provides unparalleled airtightness and thermal performance, whilst also making use of sustainability-sourced, highly renewable materials.
25mm solid Metra Panel ceilings, made from New Zealand pine wood fibre leftovers from timber processing, create another thermal barrier and are extremely airtight, resulting in greater efficiency. They also provide exceptional bracing to improve the strength of the home.
All Manor Build homes include ventilation systems that reduce moisture and improve indoor air quality, along with heat pumps for heating. Due to the innovative design from floor to ceiling, the energy required for heating is drastically reduced.
Weathertex cladding is often seen as a more sustainable choice than brick, due to its lower embodied energy, zero carbon footprint, utilisation of renewable materials, minimised upkeep requirements, and numerous design possibilities. Furthermore, this product comes with a 25-year warranty.
Factory-built transportable housing is constructed in a controlled environment, leading to precise material measurements and reduced waste which can be recycled or repurposed. Additionally, should requirements change, the house can be relocated and reused, instead of being demolished.
More than just tiny homes, we offer full-size, high-spec finished homes from two bedroom to four bedrooms. Choose your flexible layout and personalise your finishes - our sustainable material selection and high insulation ensures we exceed building code standards.
